To find materials for crafting long-lasting quality pieces, Audrey has established a list of criteria she doesn't deviate from!
The materials must come from eco-friendly production: low water consumption, cruelty-free, and manufactured in nearby workshops.
They must also be durable: we're looking for sustainable clothing, not to invest in new clothes every three months. We seek a century-old craftsmanship to ensure the resilience of your tops!
From all these conditions, we have identified two standout candidates so far: merino wool and linen!
Since 2018, merino wool has shared the spotlight with silk and micromodal. And since April 2023, linen has joined this beautiful journey with the same commitment and quality.
In addition to meeting the same production criteria, the greatest strength of these two materials is that they share the same characteristics!
Firstly, these materials are soooooft. As gentle to the planet as they are to your skin! The fibers are very fine, linen jersey and merino wool are perfect for sensitive skin: they are hypoallergenic fabrics. No more itching and scratching.
As we mentioned earlier, these two materials are also very durable. They are flexible and do not stretch, even as time goes by. Timeless fashion for your wardrobe!
Next, and we're getting into the renowned qualities of our two favorites, they have a great thermoregulation capacity! They are active fibers that absorb or release your heat according to the skin's moisture level. It's a personalized air conditioning system that prevents you from sweating or shivering all day!
This also includes excellent moisture management: you'll stay dry much longer than with synthetic materials. Whether it's summer or winter, you'll stay cool and warm exactly when you need it!
Another common characteristic of these delicate materials, but not the least, is their superpower of odor reduction. Body molecules are absorbed by the fibers to naturally limit odors during hot weather or extreme cold.
